I run Vista X64 with SP1 and seldom have had issues but i will agree when you buy cheap hardware drivers are a fucking pain with X64. X86 is relatively better. However my ASUS board, Nvidia graphics card, Creative Sound Card, Nvidia TV tuner card et all were recognized and needed no driver installation because they were all top of the class hardware. However a cheap Rs. 500 webcamera from zebronics gave me the run for it.

I use Ubuntu hardy heron 8.04 TLS and this bugger just kicks the shit out of Microsoft and Apple big time. I'm so convince i spend less and less time on my Vista booting and use the Ubuntu. It gives me the best of both worlds. Graphics and Stability.

The only god damn issues with Ubuntu is drivers. I just cannot get wireless to work on Linux at all! There aint no way to make this work even with a very popular and commonly available piece of wireless hardware. Of course none of my high end hardware like the Wireless Keyboards, Mouse, headset, et all will work on Linux. What a Pity!
