Yahoo services are like antique pieces. We are retaining it just for the sake of it. I have a friend who is proud of the fact that he has a @yahoo.co.uk e-mail id. (as you would remember, intially we used to get @yahoo.co.uk ids) because it proves that he has been a veteran in e-mailing.

I use my yahoomail only to chk whether someone has scrapped in my orkut account. (god only knows what made me create an orkut account using my yahoo mail id…. )

Absolutely! I think the campaign is aimed at folks who were *once* like you! Getting them back to be Y! loyalists with this promise.

I have been using Y! for over 5 years now – from when I was 15. Y! mail has now become almost similar to G-mail – you can now chat in the mailbox like G-mail – Y! did the same new mail-version (which G-mail later discontinued). I am part of my college T.Y. B.M.M. & AR Rahman fans group on Y! groups – that helps. Everytime I Login/Logout of Y! – I get Breaking/interesting news & development, including cricket updates. Y! answers is sometimes useful. I ‘Google’ and not ‘Bing’, though.

I am really not sure of this campaign, as you said – the Internet HAS always been under the management of its users. But anyways, Y! has changed for the good – they didn’t have to pump in so much money into the campaign, me thinks. There’re everywhere – even on tabloids.

PS – I Don’t have an alternative G-mail a/c. So, that makes me a Y! loyalist?!
